Southampton have signed full-back Jeremy Pied from Nice.
Pied, who played under new Saints boss Claude Puel at both Lyon and Nice, signed a two-year contract at St Mary's on Monday evening to link up with the manager for a third time.
It followed the signing earlier in the day of Alex McCarthy, the 26-year-old signing a three-year deal from Crystal Palace.
